The John A. Gration Lecture Series honors Dr. Gration, professor emeritus and founding chair of the Intercultural Studies graduate programs at Wheaton College Graduate School. I gave the Gration Lecture in 2016, and focused on themes from my book with Pennylyn Dykstra-Pruim, Christians and Cultural Difference. I focus here on some ways in which intercultural learning can both be framed by faith and serve as a process that forces a reconsideration of faith and an awareness of how our faith is shaped by culture.
